Iron Man is like sex, you don’t think it will be as good as the first time, but it just gets better and better. Every time Tony Stark is around you get a little moist thinking, what will he do this time? In real life people would hate Tony Stark; he’s pompous, educated, rich, and has all the best toys. This and the last film have a way of spinning an  egomaniac and making him loveable, adorable, and can I say f…no? ok.

Is it wrong to lick the screen?

The plot of this sequel is not the meatiest, but Robert Downey Jnr, Don Cheadle and Gwenyth Paltrow do an excellent job of keeping us entertained throughout. Mickey Rourke is a Russian who feels that he is a better physicist than Mr Stark and makes quite an excellent job of proving it as well.

Real life Physics.  Not interesting, but pretty to look at and could have killed us all!!!

A Toast

Every time you start to get a little bored of the talking along comes Tony Stark to keep you entertained. As much as I, like the rest of the world, would love to pat Robert Downey, Jr. on the back for his effortless portrayal of Iron Man, it simply would not have worked without the strong cast that he is given to act against. The special effects are flawless; it makes you want to be Tony Stark, not just for the money, but for the gadgets. As well as all that it is directed with such finesse that it’s hard not to love this movie.

Billionaires have always had the best toys!!

At the end, it comes too quickly (no puns needed, thank you) and it leaves you craving more. More of Tony, more  Black Widow, more everything, except Mickey Rourke and his plastic surgery/botox obsession!

Sometimes getting old can be hard when you looked good, but learn when to say no to surgery!!

A well made, well loved, well acted movie. A lot of people could learn a lesson or two from films that are just made for entertainment. That is, after all, why we pay to go to the cinema, to be entertained. Thank you Jon Favreau, aka Happy Hogan, great job.

Gwyneth Paltrow is a lot like Iron Man movies, flawless.

Drinking Game

Take a Drink: when a character from the Avengers turns up

Take a Drink: whenever Tony checks how much he is dying

Take a Drink: when you see Don Cheadle.  He is a far better actor than the other guy.

Do a Shot: because you can and you know Tony would.

Do a Shot: when War Machine fights Iron Man

  1. I thought it was the weakest Iron Man by far, but I agree, it had its moments and provided plenty of entertainment.
