Neurotix: “Save Me” (Music Review)

By: Rob Perez –

If you want to transport yourself back to the 90’s grunge era, listen to Neurotix’ new album, Save Me. You will instantly feel you’re back listening to a mixtape of 90’s alt rock bands. You name it, all their influences come alive in this very polished, solid 10 track debut album.

As the band states in their bio, their wish is to bring back what was an unfinished musical genre that has been dormant. Not sure if that is really true since many bands today are influenced by 90’s rock and have re-created the sound many times over. Still, as a Gen Xer, it’s nice to see a band with plenty of ambition and talent keep that 90’s musical spirit alive. With an agenda to bring back grunge to its purest, Neurotix is definitely in position to do just that.

If you grew up in or came of age in the 90’s, or are just discovering the decade’s greatest artists, Save Me will definitely bring back memories. Their excellent musicianship, hard rocking attitude, and deep songwriting skills are just a few of the many things to love about this album.
