Trailer Reviews: Taken 2, Frankenweenie

This weekend is going to be fun. Frankenweenie is being brought back to life by Tim Burton. Taken 2, on the other hand, is one of the most unnecessary sequels ever, but I’ll take it! Now, it’s time to take a look at the trailers and see if I still feel the same afterwards.

Frankenweenie (2012)

Looks awesome! I love Tim Burton movies. I’ve always been fascinated by the dark approach. This is the first stop-motion animation film he’s done entirely in black and white, but I think it goes with the spirit of the original Frankenweenie film. The story follows a boy who lost his beloved pet to an accident. He reanimates him like Frankenstein. The setting is in the suburbs which looks very similar to Edward Scissorhands’s neighborhood. I believe Disney and Tim Burton’s partnership have a winner. I’ll raise glass of beer to this one — A Toast! 1 Beer!

Taken 2 (2012)

Taken 2, Liam Neeson, TakenThey “Take” his wife! If you watched the first movie and enjoyed it you’re likely to enjoy this one in all of its awesomely bad glory.  Hands down, this trailer has it all – corny dialogue – action – and someone being “taken.”  This has a Six Pack written all over it, but for all the best reasons. 6 Beers.

  1. Well, Taken 2 was a Six Pack… but for all the wrong reasons, unfortunately. Check for the review Sunday!
