B. Mills: “The Life and Times of an Eternal Optimist” (Music Review)

By: Rob Perez (A Toast) –

As B. Mills explains about his new album The Life and Times of an Eternal Optimist, the album shines a light on life, love, success, happiness, hopes, desires . . . in other words, he preaches pure optimism. And in this very spiritual release, it’s track after track of enlightened music, sure to offer positivity and nothing but positivity.

You can describe these eight tracks as a sort of how to live life free of negativity. It’ll be easy to get into the mood of these songs, which we feel will have a universal appeal. Songs such as “Conflicted” mixe several popular genres while warning that love overcomes all, is even more powerful than money. “Slow Motion” is smooth, silky sounding R&B. “The Light” looks for answers in a dark world, but the album ends on the optimistic with “Life Is Beautiful”.

Give this a listen and have at least a beer to enjoy this eternally optimistic project.
