Spending a lazy weekend catching up on some of the best and worst (okay, mostly worse) releases I missed earlier in the year.
76. Fifty Shades Freed
Going out with a whimper instead of a bang, the Fifty Shades franchise limps across the finish line with the most boring, lifestyle-porn, childishly plotted and edited installment yet. A wonderful psychoanalysis of E.L. James and the people who made this book and film franchise so financially successful. Six Pack.
77. Den of Thieves
This, however, was far better than I expected a Heat-homaging two-hander starring… Gerard Butler and Pablo Schreiber… to be. Engaging for the entirety of its nearly two and a half hours, stylishly shot and edited, and boasting a pretty nice twist- this is well worth your time. Three Beers.
