Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance -
Aren’t we getting a little too old for this shit, world?
Okay, fine. So, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is the not-awaited sequel to a movie where Nicholas Cage’s head turns into a flaming skull and he rides around on a motorcycle killing people. The motorcycle is also on fire. His jacket is formed from the blackest coal that has been burning for eternity in the forges of hell. Also, he eats bullets!
Apparently, soccer moms who have experimented with Maybelline’s ‘Blackest Coal from the Forges of Hell Winter Collection’ think he’s dangerous.

I’ll let top commenter EPICPICKL take it from here:
“who ever hates ghost rider is gonna get there dick burned off”
This Means War -
Two friends in the CIA are dating the same woman and now they want to kill each other!
And innocent bystanders too!
The CIA’s best—who are also the bestest of friendses—didn’t know they were boning the same lady? Tom Hardy, what are you doing? Chris Pine… carry on.
Admittedly, I laughed at the ‘old man’ comment. But that doesn’t make up for Chelsea Handler as the catty sidekick for the entire movie.
All of this fighting is silly, in the end. Of course Daggerchin belongs with Chris Pine. She can use that thing to write out sweet nothings onto his gigantic forehead.

Yeah. The same as Ghost Rider. You guys think about what you’ve done.
The Secret World of Arrietty -
Of course the best looking movie this week is based on a book I read when I was nine, The Borrowers (winner of The Carnegie Medal in 1953.)
In the film, a miniature family lives in the house of a lonely boy who’s afflicted with a heart condition and his great aunt. They live a simple life by “borrowing” small things from around the house that no one will miss. One day, the tiny daughter, Arrietty, is discovered by the boy and they form a unique friendship. But, then his aunt discovers her and shit gets real.
This is why I’m afraid to sing and dance around naked at home.
This is an English dub of the original Japanese film made by the creators of Ponyo and Spirited Away. Like its predecessors, this North American version seems cheapened by the change. The end product sounds like cringe-worthy line readings that they didn’t bother to finalize. However, the animation remains just as charming and clean.
